This is just a very quick note as we still don't have internet at home, hopefully one more week.
All went well with Samuel's trip to theatre. The anaethetist managed to manipulate the PICC line back into position rather than having to use another vein, which is great because it gives him more time using this perfectly good vein to get his TPN. So he was discharged the same day following the procedure and now we're all home again as a family and everything is back to normal, well, 'normal' for us that is.
We'll be back next week with more photos of our growing boy who is 9 months old today!

Thats really great news, hope you have a lovely weekend all being together again. Love, Fi and Col
I have been reading your story and it is a wonderful story that brought my hopes up a lot. I am currently pregnant with a little girl who seems to have MMIHS from prenatal ultrasound readings. This really gives me much hope for our little Janessa. I am so glad your son is doing well! We really hope for the same for our little daughter, hopefully she can be strong like your son, and god can keep us all strong through a hard time like this!<3

Just been catching up on the last week or so - pleased the move went well, and that the new house suits you better. Looking forward to seeing it! Thrilled that Sam's PICC line went back in the same vein, and that the sweat tests came back with such wonderful news. Happy 9-mth birthday for yesterday, gorgeous boy!! WIth lots of love, Bron and the boys xxoo
Hi,
I found your blog and wondered if you had heard of the Oley Foundation. We offer free information and peer support to families like yours with a member on home tube or IV feeding.
Check out our web site at www.oley.org. For a good overview, click on the "New to Oley" button.
Feel free to call/email me if you have any questions or would like to meet another family in a similar situation.

Dear Marybeth - as you carry your precious Janessa I hope you know peace and honour at the privilege of carrying this life into being - it is a tough journey which I hope you can know the support from your family and friends as we have. Through our research we've found that MMIHS tends to affect boys more severely than girls, and this is our hope for Janessa. very best wishes. X
hi there you guys - hope the new house and job are begining to feel normal for you all. how are the girls settling? good news for Sam and a happy nine month birthday - wonderful to reflect on his short but eventful life and see the faithfulness of God through out the time. we continue to think of you all pray for you. Lots of love MERRW?
HEY Davy's
Looks like you guys are doing super duper well! YAY for the new house.
Sam looks as gorgeous as ever!!
You might be interested to know that one of your old nurses is doing and internship with TEAR Australia in Melbourne.
Peace to you!!
Francis & Shirley - I've read about that also that it is a lot more severe in boys than in girls. We are going tonight out of state to have specialized tests done at a hospital that specializes in lower urinary tract obstructions. I thank you for keeping her in your thoughts! It is a tough journey already, and I can only imagine how much more of a struggle it will be.
