His TPN has been increased but he is also having continuous fluids alongside this and his meds have been modified and is only on 2 that are given by IV. So these 2 factors are what are keeping us here whilst we wait for surgery. The hospital is splitting at the seams, so we wait for when they can operate on Sam. We know that many other children were delayed their surgery when Sam was very small and acute, so we totally know they are doing their best and we will be seen when it's possible and being weighed against all the other cases. It may happen this week, or it may go onto the next, so we wait patiently, glad that Sam is so happy and well in himself.
The plan is that I can still do the school run by escaping from Starship each afternoon with Sam, so hopefully that will mean life is almost normal for the girls, before I drop them at their Aunties to sleep and bring back Sam for his TPN at 6, as Francis is in Australia this wk.
Sam didn't get the memo about daylight saving and sleeping in an extra hour this morning, so I'm looking forward to an early night to catch up on the 5am start!
